Sichuan Cherries Adopt "New Preservation Packaging" When They Hit the Market in 2024
Cherries, as a high-value fruit, have extremely high requirements for preservation. They often undergo several days of long-distance transportation from the production area to the consumer, and without effective preservation methods, they are extremely prone to spoilage. Modified atmosphere packaging, by adjusting the gas ratio within the packaging, inhibits fruit respiration and microbial growth, becoming a key technology for ensuring their quality.
Sichuan cherries also adopted "new preservation packaging" when they hit the market in 2024, combining it with cold chain transportation to achieve rapid delivery and enhance product competitiveness. This type of "new packaging" typically refers to a combination of modified atmosphere packaging and insulated boxes. Many companies in this production area use our modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) boxes and matching modified atmosphere film. After vacuum sealing, a mixture of nitrogen, carbon dioxide, and other gases is filled in to inhibit the respiration and bacterial growth of the cherries. This extends their shelf life without the use of preservatives, ensuring they don't easily rot during 20-30 day transport, maintaining their color and taste. This allows for rapid delivery of locally grown fresh fruit and reduces losses in intermediate stages.
Cherry companies in Sichuan have already adopted our modified atmosphere packaging solution on a large scale.
